With a vast array of technologies and our 40+ years in the specialist cable market, we produce cables to suit every budget to maximise the potential of your beloved system.
Whether you’re connecting your TV to a sound bar or music server to a DAC, QED has a digital cable to meet your requirements. Our cables are tried and tested to ensure you get the best performance from your digital sources.
When connecting your analogue sources such as your CD player or turntable to your amplifier, here at QED, we have a cable to suit your system. From our entry level Profile cable through to our flagship Signature Interconnect.
Using our unique Tri-Conductor technology and Neutrik XX-14 balanced plugs, our XLR cables offer the cleanest possible sound from a specialist XLR cable, whilst also incorporating our Ferrite insulation to eliminate timing errors.
An alternative to optical, our premium digital coaxial cables use a specially designed cable cordage and unique plug design to achieve the precise signal characteristics required for high resolution and multi-channel audio.
With our high end USB A-B we isolate the power and data conductors preventing any potential cross talk, therefore meaning less jitter and an enhanced audio performance.
For use with Laptops/Computers and portable headphone amps/dacs, the QED reference USB A-Micro B uses our Ferrite insulation to reduce Jitter, as well as isolating the data and power lanes for a cleaner overall signal.
Triple magnet screening and 24K gold plugs makes our Performance USB A-Mini B the best in its class.
Connecting your mobile device/tablet to your audio system has never been easier with our 2 step 3.5mm jack for a simpler connection.
Using our in house HDMI testing facility, QED have designed premium HDMI cables to suit any budget. From our flexible and slimline profile to our exceptional Reference HDMI with its BandPass filter technology to reduce Jitter to Ultra low levels
For all of your Optical needs, QED has an optical cable for you. For the more advanced, high bandwidth signals, Reference Optical Quartz uses glass technology to accurately send the information from source to receiver.
The most common type of cable used for connecting products on a wired network. This cable connects wired devices together to the local network for file sharing and Internet access.
Using technologies from our analogue cables such as complimentary conductor technology, your subwoofer will always perform to its best capability.
The new Ultra High Speed HDMI cable is our most advanced yet.
Designed to handle high-quality, uncompressed 8K video at up to 60 frames per second, this single HDMI 2.1 cable is an affordable, top-quality proposition for all dedicated home cinema enthusiasts.
QED has been designing and engineering superior analogue and digital cables for more than 45 years, and its new Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable is informed by the results of the company’s exhaustive research into cable design since 1995.
Supporting the latest HDMI 2.1 standard, this new specification defines the fastest copper-based data rate ever conceived, raising the maximum throughput from 16 Gb/s of the previous Premium cable standard (HDMI 2.0) to 48 Gb/s to support uncompressed video resolutions of up to 8K@60Hz (4:2:0) with 12bit HDR. The cable will also carry uncompressed 4K@120Hz video, while delivering the promised maximum compressed video resolution of up to 10K@120Hz. Lastly, Dynamic HDR and Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC), are also supported no matter what brand or combination of HDMI 2.1 compatible equipment you are using.
QED Ultra High Speed HDMI cables have to undergo stringent mandatory testing at an HDMI Forum authorised testing centre, not only to establish compatibility with the new 2.1 video standards, but also to ensure low levels of electromagnetic radiation, to reduce the possibility of interference with wireless networks, streaming media players, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones. This is realised through QED’s Triple-shielding design that further protects against interference for optimal signal quality.
QED is one of the first brands to officially adopt the new cable category in the form of the new Performance Ultra High Speed range. The cables have received the official stamp of approval from the HDMI Forum accredited laboratory in the form of the instantly recognisable Ultra High Speed Certification Program stickers. Just scan the QR code on the label using the official HDMI app to be reassured that the cable is a genuine QED Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
All the cables are completely backward compatible with HDMI 2.0b and 1.4b standards and are available in 1.5 and 3 metre lengths, which will ensure continued years of upgradeable video enjoyment at home.
This cable has been designed to be as thin and flexible as possible. Gone are the days of large bulky HDMI cables and the new Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI is characterised by a sleek black livery with a maximum diameter of just 6.3 mm (1.5m)/7.3 mm (3.0m) to ensure that it is suitable for use with the slimmest TVs. In reducing the cable diameter we have not compromised on the purity of the conductors we use, which are still made from 99.999% Oxygen Free Copper.
With the introduction of the HDMI 2.1 standard in 2018 the maximum data rate of the HDMI link increased from 16 Gb/s of the previous Premium cable standard (HDMI 2.0) to 48 Gb/s. This was to accommodate the new uncompressed 8K@60Hz video standard (termed 8K60 4:2:0).
Ultra High Speed HDMI cables are tested to ensure quality for feature-rich 8K content. The Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable Certification Program™ encompasses additional and enhanced cable testing as well as an authentication and verification.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) is a TV picture technology that offers greater contrast ratio and more brightness steps for a smoother picture with more detail in both bright and shadowy areas. A related technology usually associated with HDR is Wide Colour Gamut (WCG), which offers an expanded colour palette. Both technologies are supported by the new QED Performance Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
This incorporates an Ultra Matte PVC jacket to give the cable ultimate feel and flexibility. Only available in matte black.
