With a vast array of technologies and our 40+ years in the specialist cable market, we produce cables to suit every budget to maximise the potential of your beloved system. With a vast array of technologies and our 40+ years in the specialist cable market, we produce cables to suit every budget to maximise the potential of your beloved system.
Whether you’re connecting your TV to a sound bar or music server to a DAC, QED has a digital cable to meet your requirements. Our cables are tried and tested to ensure you get the best performance from your digital sources.
When connecting your analogue sources such as your CD player or turntable to your amplifier, here at QED, we have a cable to suit your system. From our entry level Profile cable through to our flagship Signature Interconnect.
Using our unique Tri-Conductor technology and Neutrik XX-14 balanced plugs, our XLR cables offer the cleanest possible sound from a specialist XLR cable, whilst also incorporating our Ferrite insulation to eliminate timing errors.
An alternative to optical, our premium digital coaxial cables use a specially designed cable cordage and unique plug design to achieve the precise signal characteristics required for high resolution and multi-channel audio.
With our high end USB A-B we isolate the power and data conductors preventing any potential cross talk, therefore meaning less jitter and an enhanced audio performance.
For use with Laptops/Computers and portable headphone amps/dacs, the QED reference USB A-Micro B uses our Ferrite insulation to reduce Jitter, as well as isolating the data and power lanes for a cleaner overall signal.
Triple magnet screening and 24K gold plugs makes our Performance USB A-Mini B the best in its class.
Connecting your mobile device/tablet to your audio system has never been easier with our 2 step 3.5mm jack for a simpler connection.
Using our in house HDMI testing facility, QED have designed premium HDMI cables to suit any budget. From our flexible and slimline profile to our exceptional Reference HDMI with its BandPass filter technology to reduce Jitter to Ultra low levels
For all of your Optical needs, QED has an optical cable for you. For the more advanced, high bandwidth signals, Reference Optical Quartz uses glass technology to accurately send the information from source to receiver.
The most common type of cable used for connecting products on a wired network. This cable connects wired devices together to the local network for file sharing and Internet access.
Using technologies from our analogue cables such as complimentary conductor technology, your subwoofer will always perform to its best capability.
QED is proud to present the new Performance Active HDMI cable designed specifically for use at High Speed over cable runs up to 15 metres in length.
A brand new design concept from QED which utilises QED 'Active Filter Technology'TM delivering high speed up to and including 15m. Until now it has been difficult to achieve support for 3D, Deep Colour or 4K video resolution over the long distances required for modern high performance projectors. It is often necessary to employ expensive booster boxes which require external power supplies or use cables with a difficult to hide "electronic bulge" inconveniently situated half way along. QED Performance Active HDMI changes all that by introducing Active Filter Technology(TM). A dedicated integrated circuit especially developed to provide High Speed data performance over long cable runs is built unobtrusively into the head shell of each cable.
Independently tested to deliver High Speed w/Ethernet and exceed the requirements of the latest HDMI specification. Supports Full HD, 3D, 4K and Deep Colour.
Performance Active HDMI measures at less than 50ps of jitter, significantly reducing the incidence of bit errors reaching the TV and maximising the audio and video data transfer.
99.999% Oxygen Free Copper conductors
3D Compatible
Supports 4k x 2k Resolution
QED is one of the only UK manufacturers able to test HDMI cable designs beyond the scope of the current HDMI specification; which means it is uniquely placed to evaluate new technical innovations before deciding whether or not to introduce them into full production. QED has identified cable induced timing error, termed 'jitter', as one of the key differentiators between satisfactory and outstanding cables.
Jitter is the undesired deviation from true periodicity of an assumed periodic signal in electronics and telecommunications, often in relation to a reference clock source. A cable displaying very low jitter has been measured at
typically 50ps.
3D = compatible with 3D TVs; cable has a minimum bit rate of 4.45 Gb/s
1080p Full HD = a video resolution with a bit rate of 4.45 Gb/s
4K = 4K native video resolution offered by QED HDMI 2.0; 4K@60Hz= bit rate 18 Gb/s
High Speed with Ethernet = 10.2Gb/s so any High Speed Cable supports all these resolutions
Applies to any HDMI cable that has been tested at an authorised test centre and has been found to pass the eye mask test at a combined data rate of 10.2Gb/s 340Mhz pixel clock. The cable must also have passed testing of the CEC and DDC connectivity and be compliant with HDMI Ethernet and Audio Return Channel test procedure.
Incorporates electronics that can measure performance of the twisted pairs in the cable and apply an appropriate active equalization network designed to extend the High Speed performance of the cable to 15m. The signal is filtered to remove unwanted components of the signal above and below the required frequency band and the remaining signal is amplified to the original level.
